Keep a variety of styles of weapon and not the same type and its pretty normal. Dont rush too much but dont be slow.
Nightfalls are kinda pointless but if you really wanna do them check what stats the nightfall has and then find a group. Build your character off of the nightfall and dont waste any time because there is now a timer.
